Fresh Air System Electronics
There’s more to the electronics inside a fresh air system than just the control board. Avnan has all the bases covered inside and outside of the unit’s enclosure. From the power cord to switches, transformers, sensors, and the wire harnesses that interconnect them all, you can rely on Avnan to supply high quality parts that ensure a long life for your product in the field. This breadth of scope makes us a valuable one-stop shop for all your electronics, simplifying your Purchasing workload.
Our product support doesn’t end there. By offering the wall control peripherals, we cover all elements of the end-user interface to your product. New product development costs and time are reduced by having one design partner for the electronics inside and outside of the main unit, since they can both be designed and qualified hand-in-hand.
Whether it’s a boiler heating element, furnace transformer, duct heater relay, or air purifier electrode, we can supply them all at competitive cost and with many logistics options to manage your inventory effectively.
Flexible Features and Functions
Not all control boards are created equally. Avnan can package the required circuitry into whatever customized dimensions are needed to optimally fit into your system. We also have developed several design kernels to support the various functions that might be required, such as EC motor control, RF communications, Bluetooth/WiFi connectivity, and IAQ sensing.
Drawing upon our successful incorporation of these circuit blocks into previous products allows us to cut down on design/qualification time for your new project. Our experience helps get through Regulatory Agency approvals faster and reduces your time to market. Using common componentry across our various product offerings also gives you the benefits of economy of scale, since our buying power helps to secure the best possible pricing for the IC’s, connectors, and other commodities on the board.
Bring us your wish-list of features required, and we’ll implement them with reliable, proven circuit solutions.
Range Hood Electronics
Range hoods have come a long way since their invention in the 1930’s. They have evolved from simple switch-controlled fans to intelligent energy-efficient devices which serve a critical function in maintaining air quality in a kitchen/home.
There’s more than just a fan in modern range hoods. Avnan designs and manufactures various types of PCBA’s within the unit’s enclosure, including the main control board inside and capacitive touch user interfaces for the front panel. On top of that are transformers, power cords and interconnecting wire harnesses, all of which are high quality parts developed for maximum reliability. This breadth of scope makes us a valuable one-stop shop for all your electronics, simplifying your Purchasing workload.
Our products work seamlessly together with proven technology, with the goal of getting the end product to market quickly and giving the consumer the best possible user experience
Custom Main Control PCBA
Avnan has a long history of designing and manufacturing of control electronics for chimney and cabinet-style range hoods. Our main control PCBA’s use the latest microprocessor-based technology to allow for energy-efficient operation with a variety of exhaust motor technologies, including PMSM (permanent magnet synchronous motors) and ECM (electrically commutated motors). These boards integrate sensing technology to maximize the extraction of moisture and VOC’s, preventing contaminants from being dispersed into the kitchen/home. The main control boards communicate seamlessly with the user-interface panels, supporting contact and contactless operation of the range hood.
Avnan engineers are also experts at mapping out and developing the firmware that drives the operation of the product, freeing up the OEM’s Engineering team to focus on their core product design.
Custom User Interface Assembly
In addition to the main board inside the range hood, Avnan also offers several designs for the user interface. These designs can incorporate capacitive touch buttons with LED indicators or LCD’s with touch-screens. Avnan can customize the interface boards to give the OEM the look and feel that enhances their vision of the consumer’s experience.
Range Hood Function and Features
Depending on the intended market, Avnan can integrate several features into the control electronics for range hoods. With more and more appliances incorporating smart technology into their designs, Avnan is supporting this trend with circuity that can allow the range hood to be operated via Bluetooth, with IoT connectivity. Gesture sensors can be included to provide a totally touch-free product. Avnan has developed reliable, repeatable designs for fan speed control and LED lighting, which are basic to almost all modern range hoods. We also offer many sensors that can be monitored by our electronics, allowing the microprocessor to decide what the range hood should do when high temperature, humidity, CO2 and VOC levels are detected.
Our proven circuit kernels help to cut down on design/qualification time for any new project. Talk to us about what features your customers need and we’ll implement them with ease.
Heat Pump System Electronics
Heat pump systems are garnering much attention and interest these days. Offering an alternative to fossil fuel-burning heating for homes, these devices are purely electrically-driven, with the intention of reducing carbon emissions.
Whether using outside air or the ground (geothermal) for heat transfer, modern high-tech electronics are the brains running the system. Avnan is well-versed at designing and manufacturing the main control PCBA at the heart of the unit. Transformers, power cords, interconnecting wire harnesses, and wall-mounted thermostats round out the suite of highly reliable componentry that Avnan offers.
The advantage of working with Avnan is that you only need to go to one supplier to get all the parts you need to make this system work efficiently saving you time.
Heat Pump Function and Features
In addition to the basic control functions of activating the compressor, fans, and valves, many other features can be integrated into the control electronics for heat pumps. Various sensors can be monitored, including those detecting leaks of the refrigerant. BACnet interfaces can be built in, to communicate with external control centres. The main unit can also be configured to communicate by wire or wireless to the thermostat/control in the home. Avnan’s use of specialized microprocessors with RTC (real-time clock) technology in the thermostat unit allows the user to set different desired temperature for various times of the day, reducing energy consumption when the home is empty.
Avnan can work with you to build the custom features you need to build an outstanding product.
Heat Pump Main Board
Heat pump main control PCBA’s are amongst the most densely-populated assemblies that Avnan manufactures, and we do it with the highest quality with in-depth functional testing. Fine-pitch microprocessors at the core of the design decide when to switch in the compressor and when to reverse the flow of refrigerant to seamlessly transition between heating and cooling modes.
Our circuits also monitor input from sensors in the thermostat unit to ensure that they system reacts accordingly if something is abnormal.
Avnan’s firmware developers can easily translate the customer’s logic flowchart describing how the system should behave into efficient, stable code. Let us help you with your product vision so you can focus on what you do best.
Heat Pump Wall Control Unit
Gone are the days when a dial thermostat set the temperature in the home. Evolving technology now has the user demanding simple touch-screen interfaces which allow for programmable temperature settings at different times of day and year, to minimize unnecessary operation of the system. Avnan has many options for these control units, including WiFi, Bluetooth, and IoT communication capability to the main unit and to the cloud. If the user forgets to raise the home temperature setting when leaving on summer vacation to cut down on cooling costs, it’s not a problem.
Our technology supports the homeowner to get on an app on a smartphone and reset the temperature while away. Embedding humidity, IAQ, smoke and CO sensors into the wall control also allows for easy reporting that the indoor conditions aren’t ideal, triggering the appropriate reaction (such as switching on an exhaust fan or activated a Fresh Air System).
Let our team work with you to develop a product that has all the features you need and works intuitively for the end customer.
